"Moroccan Mint (Mentha spicata var. crispa 'Moroccan' -catchy right?!) is possibly the best “all round” variety of Mint. Similar to Garden Mint but this is a deeper, more musky flavour. This makes it perfect for adding to a variety of culinary dishes, making the classic mint sauce to serve with lamb or as accompanying peas and potatoes.
It is also totally our favourite for making delicious Mint Tea. If you drink a lot of herbal tea then you will notice the difference between Moroccan Mint Tea and other varieties straight away. To me it is a deeper, more soothing flavour. It’s certainly my ‘Mint Tea of Choice’.
Like all varieties of Mint it should be kept contained as it likes to spread invasively. Keep it in a pot near the back door perhaps. Or even on the kitchen windowsill.
After writing all that I fancy another cup!"
