Tashkent Mint is a variety of herb plant within the mint family.  It produces lush green foliage that will look so attractive within your herb garden or growing in a pot.  The flavour and aroma of this particular variety are seriously strong.

Mint Tashkent will grow strongly in the sun or partial shade, in moist soil and perfect for a herb bed or container herb garden.  It's a good idea to keep this mint plant separated from other varieties of herb as it will spread very strongly.

We love to use this variety in the kitchen although its strong flavour should be treated carefully.  Tashkent Mint can be used to produce a very strong-flavoured mint tea.  It can also be finely chopped into a mixed salad, added to cocktails or used as a decorative topping on a desert.

Here are some other varieties of herb that are perfect for using to make mint tea.
