Bees are incredible, useful and hardworking creatures that do so much to enhance our environment. They are essential to human existence, in fact! Sadly they are increasingly deprived of sources of pollination – especially in urban areas. There are many varieties of herb plant that the bees absolutely love, and are excellent sources of pollen. These herbs are also very tasty and smell amazing too.
In a day and age in which low-maintenance gardening and paved driveways are the norm for most of us, planting up a few pots of herbs on our front drive or landscaped back garden can do so much to help the plight of the bees. This collection is for you to enjoy too, but mainly the bees!
The flavours that the bees are going to be enjoying:
Thyme 'Snowdrift' - this low-growing, evergreen variety of thyme will be covered in bright white flowers throughout summer. You will love seeing local bees enjoying your flowers; watching them really is one of the joys of the gardening calendar.
Lavender 'Hidcote' x2 - a beautiful English Lavender variety that produces masses of iconic Lavender flowers, which will flower well into summer. It's very popular with local bees and butterflies. You will receive two of this variety in your collection.
Foxtail Rosemary - this unusual Rosemary variety has a semi-trailing habit, which looks stunning when the flowers trail and spill over their bed or container, acting as a magnet for local bees to enjoy.
Thyme 'Sparkling Bright' - this is a herb garden classic with beautiful silver variegation, evergreen, hardy and easy to grow that also produces pretty white flowers that the bees will love!
Hyssop Blue Flowering - this much-loved variety produces lots of pretty blue flowers that bees will enjoy working away on throughout summer, as they are excellent sources of pollen.
Lavender 'Munstead' - another lovely English Lavender variety, Munstead is a variety loved particularly by bees. You will love the gorgeous blue flowers of this variety too!
Rosemary - a herb garden classic that is a beautiful staple in your herb garden, producing lots of fantastic blue flowers early in the season and throughout summer for you and the bees to enjoy.
Thyme 'Pink Chintz' - this is a low-growing, spreading variety of thyme that produces beautiful pink flowers during summer. You will enjoy looking at the flowers that it produces, but we promise that the bees will enjoy them even more!

How big are the plants?
All herbs are supplied in 9cm pots. They will be freshly picked for your order. The condition of the plants is our primary concern when fulfilling your order. The foliage will differ in size throughout the season and may be clipped prior to dispatch. The herbs are not soft grown and have spent time in unheated conditions. They are a product designed not just to last a few days but to be grown on by yourselves and supply flavour for months to come.
