What do you get?
During the last decade, Urban Herbs travelled around the UK visiting food festivals and working at events such as BBC Good Food Show. This collection contains nine of the herbs that chefs at these events have been very excited about!
The foodie herbs that you will be enjoying:
Thai Mint - this is a seriously unusual variety that has got chefs very excited. Thai Mint provides a delicious caraway flavour that is perfect for adding to south east asian dishes.
Mushroom Plant - this variety is so much fun, producing glossy foliage that give a lovely, earthy mushroom flavour that is just delicious. We love to add the leaves to cooking, salads and sandwiches.
Golden Thyme - this gorgeous variety has the classic flavour of Thyme that we know and love, within beautiful golden foliage that looks amazing in all kinds of dishes.
Lemon Verbena - a classic variety for those who love a sweet, lemony flavour in their cooking. Lemon Verbena has an incredible flavour that is perfect for sweet and sour dishes, hot and cold drinks, and it can even be used to make lemon drizzle cake!
BBQ Rosemary - the classic flavour of Rosemary is combined with a smoky twist. Just imagine how good this will taste on the summer BBQ.
Orange Thyme - lush foliage that has a refreshing citrus smell and produces beautiful, dainty flowers during summer. Perfect for chicken dishes, baking or using to make a relaxing evening herbal tea.
Olive Herb - chefs absolutely rave about this plant, which is hardy, easy to grow, but within its foliage, it contains the delicious flavour of olive. Perfect for pairing with pasta and pizza dishes
Purple Sage - in this delicious foodie variety, the classic earthy flavour of Sage, which is perfect for soups, stews, and roasted dishes, is contained within beautiful foliage that will look more and more stunning as the weather gets colder.
French Tarragon -chefs can never get enoughough of this very popular variety. French Tarragon provides a delicious aniseed flavour that is perfect for pairing with chicken, fish or egg dishes.

How big are the plants?
All herbs are supplied in 9cm pots. They will be freshly picked for your order. The condition of the plants is our primary concern when fulfilling your order. The foliage will differ in size throughout the season and may be clipped prior to dispatch. The herbs are not soft grown and have spent time in unheated conditions. They are a product designed not just to last a few days but to be grown on by yourselves and supply flavour for months to come.
