  What do you get?

A specially selected collection of nine varieties of herbs that the bees will really enjoy while visiting your growing space!

Bees are incredible, useful and hardworking creatures that do so much to enhance our environment.  They are essential to human existence, in fact!  Sadly they are increasingly deprived of sources of pollination – especially in urban areas.  There are many varieties of herb plant that the bees absolutely love, and are excellent sources of pollen. These herbs are also very tasty and smell amazing too.

In a day and age in which low-maintenance gardening and paved driveways are the norm for most of us, planting up a few pots of herbs on our front drive or landscaped back garden can do so much to help the plight of the bees.  This collection is for you to enjoy too, but mainly the bees!

The flavours that the bees are going to be enjoying:

Creeping Red Thyme - this low-growing, evergreen variety of thyme will be covered in bright red flowers throughout summer.  You will love seeing local bees enjoying your Creeping Red Thyme flowers, watching them really is one of the joys of the gardening calendar.

Compact Marjoram - a beautiful variety that is similar to Oregano in terms of growing habit, Compact Marjoram is perfect for planting up containers that will flower well into late summer.  It's very popular with local bees and butterflies.

Common Thyme - this is a herb garden classic, evergreen, hardy and easy to grow that also produces pretty white flowers that the bees will love!

Thyme 'Sparkling Bright' - this much-loved variety produces lots of dainty white flowers that bees will enjoy working away on throughout summer, and its variegated leaves are stunning! Perfect for containers and tastes delicious too.

Lavender 'Munstead' - this well-known variety of English Lavender is famous for its dwarf growing habit and pretty flower display. In producing lovely purple flowers that the bees will love, it also has a relaxing scent too!

Thyme Pink Chintz - the flowers that this low-growing variety of Thyme produces are a magnet for local bees to enjoy.  Thyme Pink Chintz gets literally covered in small pink flowers during the summer, and it's great to watch local bees enjoy them.

Lavender Hidcote - this classic variety of Lavender produces gorgeous flowers throughout the summer months from within evergreen, fragrant foliage.  It provides a long season of food for local bees to enjoy.

Rosemary - a herb garden classic that produces fantastic blue flowers throughout summer that you and the bees will love.

Thyme 'Caborn Wine and Roses' - this is a low-growing, spreading variety of thyme that produces beautiful pink flowers during summer.  You will enjoy looking at the flowers that it produces, but we promise that the bees will enjoy them even more!
