Hardy Autumnal Hanging Basket Collection
Hanging baskets don't have to be just for summer. As traditional summer bedding begins to fade, The Hardy Autumnal Hanging Basket Collection offers a completely different way to keep baskets, pots and containers looking beautiful — using six hardy perennial plants chosen for their trailing habits, contrasting foliage and ability to create interest well beyond the summer months.
This collection includes:
-
- Thyme Tabor – A wonderfully robust thyme with larger aromatic leaves than many traditional varieties. Its compact growth brings structure to the basket while providing plenty of foliage for the kitchen.
- Golden Thyme – A beautiful thyme with bright golden-green foliage, bringing a splash of warm colour that looks particularly attractive as the garden moves into autumn.
- Woolly Thyme – One of our favourite plants for adding texture. Its tiny silvery-grey leaves form soft, spreading growth that can begin to creep towards the edges of the basket, contrasting beautifully with the darker herbs around it.
- Chives – A familiar kitchen favourite producing slender green leaves with their unmistakable mild onion flavour. Chives add height and a completely different foliage shape to the collection, before naturally dying back as colder winter weather arrives.
- Trailing Rosemary – Perfect for the edges of a hanging basket, with wonderfully aromatic evergreen foliage that gradually cascades downwards as the plant develops. Both beautiful and extremely useful in the kitchen.
- Thyme Doone Valley – A gorgeous spreading thyme with colourful aromatic foliage and a naturally low-growing habit, making it ideal for softening the edges of containers and hanging baskets.

How big are the plants?
All herbs are supplied in 9cm pots. They will be freshly picked for your order. The condition of the plants is our primary concern when fulfilling your order. The foliage will differ in size throughout the season and may be clipped prior to dispatch. The herbs are not soft grown and have spent time in unheated conditions. They are a product designed not just to last a few days but to be grown on by yourselves and supply flavour for months to come.
